This is the start of a small journal on my site. I have spent around nine years in compositing, the last six in senior and lead roles, and most of what I have learned never makes it into a reel. A reel shows the final frame. It does not show the keying decisions, the clean plate that saved a shot, or the small habits that keep a sequence consistent across a team.
That is what this space is for. Expect shot breakdowns, Nuke and Silhouette notes, and the occasional thought about working in VFX from Indonesia.
